Tiny Trailblazers
Locations vary
Mondays, 9-10 a.m.; Thursdays, 5-6 p.m.
June 3 – July 25
Ages 3-5, $5/child
Come explore Farragut’s parks with us! Each week will highlight a different park with unique activities for the tiny trailblazers. Registration is required; Mondays and Thursdays will be the same park and activity. Parents/guardians must stay with participants at all times.
 
Toddler Takeover
Farragut Community Center
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11a.m., Tuesdays, 5-6 p.m.
Beginning June 4
Ages walking to 5, $2/child
Join us for this guardian-supervised indoor playtime and let your child explore our bright, colorful, age-appropriate equipment! Preregistration is not required.
 
Tiny Tots Tennis

Tuesdays, 4-4:45 p.m.
June 4 – July 9
Ages 4-6, $25/child
Tiny Tots Tennis is an introductory program that will teach tiny athletes the building blocks of tennis! We will focus on hand-eye coordination, basic strokes and related gross motor skills. Preregistration is required, as space is limited!
PLEASE NOTE: Parents are required to participate with their child.
 
Tiny Tots T-Ball

Wednesdays, 5-5:45 p.m.
June 5-Jul 17
Ages 4-6, $25/child
Tiny Tots T-Ball is an introductory program that will teach tiny athletes the building blocks of T-Ball! We will focus on basic skills like catching, throwing, hitting, and related gross motor skills. There will be no session on July 3. PLEASE NOTE: Parents are required to participate with their child.
 
Storytime Crafts

Ages 3-5, $2/child
Join Parks & Rec staff for a story and related craft each week! Preregistration is not required.
Youth Takeover
Farragut Community Center
Ages 5-7: Wednesdays, 2:30-4pm
Ages 8-15: Mondays, 2:30-4pm

This gym time is for primary to middle school-aged youth! The first half of the program will be large group games, and the second half will be open gym free play.
 
Art Adventures

Tuesdays, 2-3pm
Ages 6-12, $4/child

Each week, our school-aged artists will create a new project with varying mediums. All skill levels are welcome!

Are you ready to explore Farragut’s parks? We will venture into each of Farragut’s parks for fun games, activities and crafts. Sign up for each park you would like to participate in; registration is required and will close the Thursday before each park adventure.
 
Youth Tennis Lessons

Ages 9-12, $25/child
This six-week program is perfect for beginner youth who are interested in playing tennis! We will learn basic strokes, serves, and other skills necessary for enjoying the game. Preregistration is required, as space is limited!

This self-directed art program is designed for teens ages 13-18 to come and express themselves! A variety of mediums will be used.

 

Get Your Green Thumb

Ages 14 and up, $20 for 4 sessions

No experience required. Classes include planting seeds, learning gardening skills and some basics of gardening.

Chalk the Park

Kick off summer with this family-friendly event, where we all get to be parking lot Picassos! Yard games, crafts and lots of chalk will be available. This is a free event, but registration is encouraged.
 
Family Campout

June 21 – 22, 4 p.m. – 10 a.m.
$30/family (up to 4 family members), $10/additional family member(s)
Sleep under the stars with Farragut Parks and Recreation! Check-in begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 21 and checkout is by 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22. Activities include family games, a campfire, flashlight scavenger hunt and more! Dinner and breakfast is included. Families must supply their own tent and sleeping bags. Parents/legal guardians must be present and with children at all times.

Independence Day Parade
Thursday, July 4, 9:30 a.m.
The Town of Farragut’s 36th annual Independence Day Parade will be held on Thursday, July 4. The parade begins on Kingston Pike at Stadium Drive and continues to Boring Road, just east of Farragut Towne Square Shopping Center. More information, road closures and suggested parking can be found at farragutparksandrec.org/parade.
 
Glow-in-the-Dark Nerf War
Farragut Community Center
Thursday, July 11, 5:30 - 7 p.m.
Ages 7-14, $8/child
Grab your Nerf gun and join us for this action-packed evening! Limited Nerf blasters will be available for use; participants are encouraged to bring their own. Glow-in-the-Dark Nerf darts will be provided. All Nerf blasters must be compatible with standard elite darts and must be approved by staff before use. Protective eyewear is required and will be provided. Registration is required.

Join us for a free, family-friendly event to celebrate National Parks & Rec Month! Food trucks, activities, and entertainment will be available.

Teams of four will compete in fun games to see who our Farragut gold medalist is! Children who sign up individually will be placed on a team.
